Palestinian’s National Contact Point (NCP) was launched in Ramallah under the auspices of the Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education, in January 2008, as one of the main activities of ERA-MED project, funded by the European Commission under the Sixth Framework Program (FP6).]
Palestinian’s National Contact Point (NCP)is structured with similar role and activities as the National Contact Points (NCPs) established in the EU Member States to provide advice and individual assistance about EC R&D funded activities.
The objectives of the Palestinian’s NCP:
Ø To enhance Palestinian participation in the Seventh Framework Program (FP7).
Ø To improve cooperation in research and development through networking.
The following services are provided by Palestinian’s NCP:
1. Dissemination of information on EU research and development RTD and mobility programs.
2. Organization of promotional activities (info-days, seminars, conferences, newsletters, liaison officers networking, etc.) on FP7.
3. Offering assistance in partner search activities and in increasing participation in FP7.
4. Responding to queries from Palestinian researchers on FP7.
5. Facilitates the communication between the Palestinians research and scientific community and the European Institutions related to RTD.
6. We built a DB system for Palestinian researchers as facility to disseminate information about FP7 and all new calls for proposal that published in cordis website.
7. We held several info days and workshops and conference on the most of Palestinian universities and research centers “this process will be continuing “.
8. During this info days we define researchers with FP7 and how to be get involved in this research program. And how to create a profile by cordis partners serves, and how to register their organization to get a PIC number. And we disseminate broachers to them
